a SPECIAL DAY AT CHERNI VRAH PEAK
For Bulgaria’s National Enlighters Day our team did a mountain bike ride to the top of Vitosha mountain – Cherni vrah (Black peak) at 2290m. For a start we did two runs on the chair lift descending on local downhill tracks and then headed up to the top on the gravel road. It was a sunny but cold and windy day with great views to Sofia city, The Balkan mountains and Rila mountains. We warmed up with hot beans soup at the tea house on the top and then set off for one of the longest and greatest mountain bike routes in Bulgaria. Twelve kilometers of natural, fast and technical single tracks with 1500m drop down to the bottom of the mountain! What a great day!
